The Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque

The Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque (also known as the Al Ain Grand Mosque) will soon stand as one of the premier locations of worship, tourism and economy in the entire United Arab Emirates (UAE). Once completed, it will be the largest mosque in the city of Al Ain and one of the largest in the entire country. Named after the current Emir of Abu Dhabi and President of the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, no expense nor luxury was spared in the construction of this magnificent and historic project.

We at Artevia are proud to have been selected for such a central role in the construction of the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque. Here we will go over some of the most important innovations and processes we bring to the table so that our present colleagues and future visitors to the Al Ain Grand Mosque can rest assured in its craftsmanship from top to bottom.

Artevia has been entrusted to provide the concrete for all of the walkways and pathways to the mosque. We consider this the first impression that visitors in the future will have of the mosque project. As they anticipate worshiping or visiting its grand construction, viewing its majesty as they approach, they will be more fully immersed into the experience because of the amount of detail and precision that has been put into something as simple as the walk to the door.

Artevia was also chosen to supply the concrete for the helipad that is directly outside of the mosque. We were enthralled to be chosen for such an exclusive part of the project, as the helipad will serve as the center of transportation and communications between the mosque and its most notable international visitors. Through our participation here, we have been entrusted with the safety and the experience of the world’s most distinguished representatives. It is not a responsibility that we take lightly.

Artevia Exposed Micro Finish concrete is our premier product, ready for the task of supplying such an experience to all who visit the Al Ain Grand Mosque from day one until the rest of eternity. Our Micro Finish concrete will enhance the architectural features of the mosque while serving many practical purposes as well. Its applications include the ability to identify underground services and utilities around the mosque and highlight demarcation zones for streamlined maintenance around the property in the future.

For the Al Ain Grand Mosque, we formulated a proprietary mix specifically to most accurately match and complement the colors of the mosque. We made sure to deliver only the best to ensure a long-lasting and fade resistant inbuilt decorative solution. With Artevia Exposed Micro Finish, builders can subtly match color changes, intensity and texture based on the characteristics of the mosque that have yet to be chosen.

One of the biggest challenges was maintaining the full veracity of our concrete while transporting it from Dubai to Al Ain. In order to ensure only premier quality products made it to the mosque, we formulated a special mix that could not only survive the trip, but thrive within it. Our efforts in overcoming this challenge actually pushed us to create the sturdiest proprietary mix that we have ever done.

As construction on the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque continues and comes to a close, Artevia is just as interested as everyone else to view what will come of our efforts. We look forward to sharing the experience of the Al Ain Grand Mosque with all of you, and we are excited to become a part of history.
